VITAL funding for medical supplies to be sent to Ukraine has been raised thanks to local generosity.

Marlow Rotary Clubs rolled up their sleeves to host a street collection in aid of war-torn Ukraine.

The Marlow and Marow Thames teams joined forces to stage the event on March 26, and successfully raised thousands of pounds.

Thanks to the generosity of townspeople in Marlow, more than £4,000 was raise for the cause.

After adding gift aid, the Clubs will be donating more than £5,000 to the International Rotary Fellowship of Healthcare Professionals. This world-wide group of largely Rotary doctors has members in both the Ukraine as well as neighbouring countries.

The group has established a supply chain from the UK and Poland that sources medicines and medical equipment to deliver to hospitals and clinics that report urgent needs in Ukraine.
