A man who was caught with his six children in the car, all not wearing seatbelts, has been referred to social services by police.

Officers pulled over the driver in Waterside, Peartree Bridge, after noticing that he had two children in the front seat and four in the backseats of his five-seater car.

After stopping the man, they noticed that none his kids were wearing seatbelts.

After having some stern words with the driver, offices contacted social services.

In a post on social media, Thames Valley Police Roads Policing said: “This driver made the error of not having enough seats in his car for his 6 children. 

Two in the front seat and four in the back, none of them wearing a seatbelt.

“This could have been disastrous if there was a collision. Social services contacted.”
