A man has been charged with possession of a knife following an incident where a machete was discovered.

Ian Coombs, 43, of Horners Croft, Wolverton, Milton Keynes, was charged with being possession of a bladed article in a public place by Thames Valley Police yesterday (Thursday).

The charge is in relation to a disturbance in Bounds Croft, Greenleys, at around 1am on Thursday morning where officers were called.

Police stopped and searched a man when they arrived, and a machete was recovered.

Coombs is due to appear at Milton Keynes Magistrates Court today (Friday) to face the charge.
