A 20-year-old man from Milton Keynes has been arrested on the suspicion of murder.

The man, who has not been named, was taken into the custody of Thames Valley Police in the morning of today [Sunday, April 3].

This comes after a 21-year-old man, who was later identified as Joseph Tayaye, was stabbed to death outside a property in the Hide, Netherfield, in the evening of Monday, March 28.

Police officers attended the scene where they tended to Mr Tayaye’s injuries, but he sadly died a day later at Milton Keynes University Hospital.

His next of kin are being supported by specially trained officers.

Four days later on Friday, April 1 in Northern Ireland, a 20-year-old man from Milton Keynes was arrested on suspicion of the murder of Joseph Tayaye by the Police Service of Northern Ireland.

In a brief statement, Thames Valley Police said that they ‘would like to thank the Police Service of Northern Ireland for its assistance in this investigation.’

It was later revealed on April 3 by Thames Valley Police that two men were arrested in Northern Ireland on suspicion of assisting an offender.

TVP has since stated that the 'Police Service of Northern Ireland will investigate these alleged offences'.
