A person who discovered a photo of a young girl that fell out of a book they had recently purchased in High Wycombe hopes to return the image to its rightful owner.

Polly Short revealed to the Free Press that she had bought a couple of books from the bookshop from the town’s hospital, and after she started to read one of them, a picture of a small girl appeared.

She said: “She is a lovely little girl and I know I would not want to have lost this photo of my child or grandchild.

“Does anyone know her?

“If so I will keep the photograph until you collect it.”

The Prestwood resident hopes to return the image as soon as possible.
