More than 1,200 primary school children from Buckinghamshire took part in a huge performance at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Taking place on Tuesday, March 29, the concert was split into two halves.

The opening period consisted of songs that had messages to help those overcome fears and challenges that people from all walks of life face.

The second half featured tunes from the modern musical phenomenon Matilda the Musical, based on the multiple Olivier Award-winning adaptation of Roald Dahl’s classic children’s novel, which were written by Tim Minchin.

The children worked with musical directors Fay Hayhurst and Paul Guenault, composer Laura Druce and the Buckinghamshire Music Trust Orchestra, to prepare a concert at a professional level.
