Comedians Russell Kane and Suzi Ruffell are set to headline the comedy stage at a brand new Buckinghamshire festival heading to the county this summer.

The first ever Stowaway Festival, which is coming to the picturesque Bucks countryside from August 19 to 21, will feature music, comedy and performances across multiple stages - as well as boasting hidden parties, banquets in the woods, wild swimming and canoeing, wellness and relaxation, kids' activities and artisan food and drink, including beer from the on-site Blackpit Brewery.

The Satves and Elder Island have been added to the music line-up, joining the likes of Nightmares On Wax (DJ Set), Norman Jay MBE, Erol Alkan, Roni Size, Luke Una and Ishmael Ensemble.

Russell Kane and Suzi Ruffell will join Paul Revill, Cally Beaton, Scott Bennett, President Obonjo, Aaron Twitchen and more still to be announced on the comedy stage.

Created in 2017 as the Festival Of Beer, 2022 sees the festival relaunch as Stowaway with a mission to deliver the "perfect weekend antidote to the trappings of the modern world".

“We originally created The Festival of Beer as a way for our friends, and friends of friends, to get together and have a great time in our beautiful woodlands, and as a way of promoting the Blackpit beer we brew here on the farm,” saidfestival founder Duncan Wheeler.

“We’ve learned so much over the past five years and the festival has grown and grown.

"We’re so excited to relaunch as Stowaway and can’t wait to welcome new friends to this very special place.”

Elder Island said after being added to the festival line-up: “Excited to be playing Stowaway this year.

"We’ll be out exploring the festivities and soaking up the Buckinghamshire countryside. Plus got to have a move and a groove to that incredible line up.”

Tickets start from £109 - see stowawayfestival.co.uk for more details and to buy.
