A motorcyclist has suffered a "life-threatening head injury" following a crash in Beaconsfield this morning.

At around 12.25am, the motorcyclist, a 28-year-old man, lost control of his green Yamaha motorbike at the Pyebush roundabout, which connects the A40 London Road with the A355.

The man suffered a serious, life-threatening head injury in the crash, and was rushed to hospital, where he continues to receive treatment.

The man's next of kin have been informed of the incident.

Police have appealed for any potential witnesses to the crash to come forward and assist with the investigation.

Investigating officer, PC Thom Piercy, of the Roads Policing Unit, said: “This incident has resulted in a man sustaining life-threatening injuries, and I would like to appeal for anyone with any information to come forward.

“If you saw the incident, or saw the motorcycle driving prior to the collision, please contact us as soon as possible. We would be particularly interested in hearing from you if you have any dash-cam footage which could help our investigation.
