An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of rape in an Aylesbury car park.

The man was arrested yesterday (April 13) and remains in police custody.

Between 6:30pm and 7:50pm a teenage girl was allegedly raped twice by the same person on the third and fifth floor of the car park near Aylesbury Waterside Theatre.

She was in Walton Street car park when she reportedly became isolated and attacked.

The girl in her teens continues to be supported by specially trained officers.

A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: "Anybody with any information is asked to call 101 or make a report on the Thames Valley Police website, quoting reference number 43220156535.

"Alternatively, contact independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555 111 or via its website."
