Those of us who love taking advantage of the incredible Chiltern Hills won't be surprised to learn that Buckinghamshire has been revealed as one of the best places for walking in the country. 

New research from waterproof accessory retailer Sealskinz reveals the best outdoor sports to do in each county, with Buckinghamshire being one of the best places for walks.

With this in mind, as well as a good few days to make the most of the beautiful scenery thanks to the Easter Bank Holiday, here are five brilliant (in no particular order) walks you can enjoy in the county. 

They are all rated as 'easy' on the komoot app and website, so everyone can get out and take part. 

The Frog Inn loop from Hambleden

Length of time it takes: 1:38 

Length of route: 3.43 miles

This circular route starts at The Frog Inn in the picturesque village of Skirmett. Why not pop in for a drink or a quick bite to eat before setting off? 

You'll then head off through the winding country lanes and paths, taking in gorgeous views. 

The route takes you past Cobstone Windmill on Turville Hill, which is famous for featuring in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

The Walled Garden Loop from Ibstone

Length of route: 4.18 miles

It's close to being the perfect time to viewing the beautiful woodland carpets of bluebells and this is a great walk for seeing those. 

Start at the red telephone box in Christmas Common and follow the map, winding through peaceful fields and woods, taking in the incredible sight of the bluebells before heading towards the walled garden at the Wormsley estate. 

You'll then see more of the estate, owned by the Getty family, and its rolling hills and woodlands, before continuing on to Queen and Colleg woods, then Pishill woods, before finishing up at the Fox and Hounds pub for a well-deserved break!

Red Cedar woods loop from Ivinghoe

Length of time it takes: 1:32

Length of route: 3.43 miles

Start at Ivinghoe Beacon car park. You'll go on to see the famous Whipsnade Lion, a hillside chalk carving on the Dunstable Downs. 

You'll then reach Ivinghoe Beacon, which offers stunning views. You never know, you might even see comedian Bill Bailey, who is a regular walker here! He told previously how he used to love visiting here with his late friend and fellow comic Sean Lock. 

Continue on to the impressive Red Cedar woods, which is perfect for exploring. 

If the weather is clear, you'll then be able to see across to Whipsnade, before heading back to the car park at the beacon where you started.

Loop from Cookham

Length of time it takes: 1:40

Length of route: 3.94 miles

Start at the Cookham Moor car park, before heading towards the river and taking in the wonderful views of the glistening Thames. 

Follow the path al the way along the river towards Bourne End, eventually reaching the railway bridge.

You can follow the path round ina  loop, heading backwards Cookham.

Penn Wood hiking loop

Length of route: 3.44 miles

This one is pretty simple - simply take a stroll round the peaceful and ancient Penn Woods and enjoy! You'll see plenty of wildlife (maybe even a deer if you're lucky), several large ponds and don't forget to take a second and listen to the trees - oak, beech and birch mostly - rustling in the wind. 

Like many of the other routes on this list, there are some cracking local pubs to enjoy afterwards, like The Hit Or Miss or The Squirrel.
