A teenage girl who recently passed her driving test had her car egged as she was driving through Flackwell Heath.

The girl was driving on Straight Bit at around 9.55pm on Thursday (22 April) when her car was hit with eggs.

Thames Valley Police (TVP) confirmed they are investigating the incident after a spokesman revealed there has been an "increase in anti-social behaviour" in the village.

There will now be extra patrols in the area to battle the recent anti-social behaviours.

Officers will also be in contact with shops in a bid to stop the sale of eggs to young people who are likely to behave anti-socially.

A TVP spokesperson said: “We received a report of anti-social behaviour on Straight Bit, Flackwell Heath, at around 9.55pm on Thursday (22 April).

“A woman reported that an egg was thrown at her daughter’s car around 30 minutes earlier.

“Officers are investigating this and anyone with information should call 101, quoting reference number 43220173432.

“The Wycombe Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team is aware of an increase in anti-social behaviour in Flackwell Heath where eggs are being thrown at cars.

“The team has increased patrols in the area and will deal with those responsible, as well as work with shops to stop the sale of eggs to young people who are likely to cause anti-social behaviour.

“The throwing of eggs at moving vehicle is both anti-social and dangerous.

“We encourage the community to report any issues of anti-social behaviour online or by calling 101.”

Earlier this month, an investigation was launched after a suspected arson attack after firefighters put out a blaze at the local play area on Straight Bit.

There was also been a string of incidents in the Straight Bit recreation ground last year, where racist graffiti was found on a piece of fitness equipment close to the bowls club.

The playground was also previously vandalised multiple times with the inside area of the climbing wall damaged by fire and new surfacing near the roundabout dug out.

On a visit to the playground, councillors were also shocked to see two swings had been stolen along with the ground surfacing underneath and the wooden frame badly damaged.

In October 2021, a private security company was hired by the parish council to tackle anti-social behaviour in Flackwell Heath.
