A trial date has been set for a man accused of causing the death of a 27-year-old mum in a horror crash.

Guy Portwin, 72, of Marsh Road in Little Kimble is charged with causing death by dangerous driving and two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving in relation to the crash that took place on the A413 Wendover Bypass.

On June 7, 2019, Amy Evans, a 27-year mother from Great Kingshill, suffered fatal injuries in a crash involving Portwin’s Land Rover Discovery, a VW Golf and her Ford Focus.

At a hearing at Aylesbury Crown Court on Monday, a preliminary trial date of September 12 was set.

Portwin is also due for a pre-trial hearing on May 30. The defendant has not yet had an opportunity to plead guilty or not guilty to the charges.
