The Marlow Town Regatta and Festival is set to return this year after being cancelled in recent years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The 'biggest sporting and social event' on the Marlow calendar was last held in 2019 and will take place in Higginson Park across the weekend of Saturday, June 11 and Sunday, June 12.
The event that has been running for 150 years will consist of live music, rowing, riverside dining and the free-to-enter dragon boat races.
This year, on June 11, there will be two enclosures both of which have access to the river and the Round Table bar.
For those who wish to picnic, there are 160 pitches available for hosting your own garden party whilst enjoying the chance to socialise, eat, drink and enjoy the rowing.
There will also be a varied selection of local food stalls available to choose from if you have not brought your own food.
The Jim Campbell Riverside Enclosure maintains the traditional dress code and offers a first-class view of the rowing and access to the grandstand and Upper Enclosure.
The Upper Enclosure will host the afternoon music, food court, along with a river frontage view of the racing from just beyond the finishing line.
Dressing up smartly is encouraged, but not enforced in this enclosure.
On the day you can pay to upgrade and access the Riverside Enclosure but you will need to meet the dress code.
The dress code says men should wear a tailored, collared shirt, smart long trousers and closed shoes and women should dress smartly in a dress or skirt or trousers and top.
The rowing comprises a junior programme and a masters category programme, including teams from clubs, schools and universities from around the country.
There will be a grandstand and a commentary throughout the day, with the highlight set to be the annual boat race between Sir William Borlase’s School and Great Marlow School.
There will be free entertainment within the enclosure up to 7pm with Marlow FM broadcasting the event live all weekend and presenting live music provided by local artists.
On Saturday evening, Ben Portsmouth will be performing his “Taking Care of Elvis” concert, in which separate tickets will be required for the event.
Ben was the first non-American to be crowned 'Worldwide Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist' and now tours across the globe.
Sunday will see the dragon boat festival which free to enter and will havea variety of stalls as well as a display arena.
There will also be family events and entertainment, including Traylens Fun Fair, which will be pitching up in the park throughout the weekend.
