TikTok is one of the world's most popular social media apps, entertaining millions with user-created video content.

There's always a new trend that takes the app by storm, be it a certain sound or a particular fun filter.

Hit songs from decades past such as Celine Dion's It's All Coming Back to Me Now have enjoyed a revival thanks to TikTok users jumping on the bandwagon and creating content around them.

One of the latest filters to dominate the app is called Rotoscope; it turns whoever is being filmed into a colourful cartoon silhouette.

Some users have used the filter in quite a cheeky way, namely, taking their clothes off and dancing around naked when the filter has been applied.

The filter prevents any nudity from being seen and viewers will just see the subject's colourful outline prancing about.

However, plenty of people have been trying to figure out if there is a way to remove the filter from others' videos once they've been posted to the app - but is it actually possible?

@rotoscope_official I repost because I don't understand why I have many views and few likes😐😑💔.#decepcion #rotoscope #fyp #tiktok ♬ son original - Rotoscope 📣❤️.

Can you remove the Rotoscope filter on TikTok?

Thankfully for all who have posted videos with the Rotoscope filter, there doesn't seem to be a way to remove the filter from a video once it's been posted - even if downloaded and run through special editing software.

You can of course remove the filter from a video before it's posted, just as you can remove a sound or other effect.

There have been multiple videos posted which suggest you can remove the Rotoscope from a user's video once posted, but fortunately for those who've braved the nude, that isn't the case.
