A Bucks road was closed by police officers this morning after a chemical spillage.
Gawcott Road in Buckingham was closed between Gawcott Roundabout on the A421 and Main Street following the spillage in Aylesbury.
The road closed at around 9am and was shut for several hours but there are currently no reports of traffic in the area.
A Bucks Fire & Rescue spokesman said: "Three plastic five litre canisters, emitting vapour, were found in the road.
"The road was closed while the firefighters worked to identify the substance they contained.
"The substance was confirmed as 14 per cent hydrochloric acid.
"The road required professional cleaning and remained closed until this had taken place."
