Two properties in High Wycombe have been burgled in quick succession.

Thames Valley Police sent out an alert for burglaries on Desborough Avenue and Oakridge Road only five minutes apart.

The alert at Desborough Avenue was sent at 2:48pm on May 4 with alarm bells raised on Oakridge Road at 2.53pm on the same day.

The two roads are half a mile apart taking three minutes to drive from one street to the other according to Google Maps.

The Bucks Free Press has no reason to believe the two incidents are linked.

A TVP spokesperson said: "Please remember to lock your doors.

"Don't keep valuables on display.

"Shut windows when you go out."

A TVP social media post said: "Today Wycombe South PCSOs gave out some crime prevention advice on Desborough Avenue and Oakridge Road following burglaries."
