The young swimmers from Buckinghamshire won big in the Chiltern League.

The swim section of Bourne End Junior Sports Club (BEJSC) finished top of the Chiltern League, and were crowned champions of 2022.

The Chiltern League is an annual competition between the twelve top clubs in the Chiltern region from Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire.

Commenting on the win, the girls captain Ruby Millard, 18, said: "Chiltern League has always been a great team event.

“I remember competing aged nine and its great now to support the younger swimmers.”

This was the first time the Chiltern League was back since the pandemic halted the event after one run in 2020.

Each team must enter a range of swimmers, and the Bourne End team ranged from 10-year-olds to 18.

For the younger swimmers it was their first competition experience.
