Wycombe Wanderers co-owner Missy Couhig has described the club’s promotion push to the Championship as ‘incredibly exciting’, following the Chairboys’ 2-0 win over MK on May 5.

The win has given the Adams Park club the advantage going into the second leg on Sunday, May 8, which will see 2,000 Wanderers fans make the trip up the A4010 and A418 to Stadium: MK.

It will be the third time this season that Wycombe will go to north Buckinghamshire.

The Couhigs are now in their third season of owing the club, which has seen them challenge for the Championship twice, as well as have a stint in the second tier.

Speaking exclusively to the Bucks Free Press, Missy Couhig said:” This is so incredibly exciting! I could not be happier to be here.

“The guys have worked so incredibly hard.

“I would never have dreamed a couple of years ago that would be here twice having to miss it the first time, but now we’re experiencing it live and this is amazing.

“When we saw the fans hold up the lights, we not long went to a concert in Baton Rouge, Louisiana “this week and it was Garth Brooks.

"There were around 102,000 people that all held up their phones and we beat them, even though we had 10,000!

“We trust in Wycombe, we trust in Gareth and the guys and it’s going to happen.

“I can feel it.”

The second leg will kick-off at 6.30pm on May 8.
