A man was pronounced dead on the scene of a railway line near Princes Risborough.

Emergency services were first on the track just before 10pm last night (May 10) and remained there throughout the night.

National Rail confirmed the lines had cleared at around 5:30am this morning (May 11) following the incident.

The British Transport Police say they are not treating the death as suspicious.

A spokesperson said: "Officers were called to the line near Princes Risborough at 9.42pm yesterday following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

"Paramedics also attended, however sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene.

"This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
