A man in Amersham was sent to police custody after they were caught driving whilst disqualified.

On Monday, May 9, TVP officers from the town ‘stumbled’ upon a car that had information makers in relation to outstanding speeding tickets.

When speaking to the person in question, it was later discovered that the driver had the following:

• A counterfeit licence

• A false name

• No insurance

• Was disqualified

Thames Valley Police also revealed that before the discovery, ‘all seemed well’ when they spoke to the driver.

However, things changed when the license was handed over.

'It looked like it had been printed off at school’, said the authorities.

TVP Roads Policing continued: “The driver tied himself up in knots and accidentally showed us his actual provisional licence and that’s where it went downhill, fast.

“This driver then presented us a certificate of insurance which had been cancelled and it later transpired that he was disqualified from driving last year.”

The car has seen been seized and the driver was sent to court.
