An Audi driver has been ordered to pay more than £1,000 after he was caught speeding at over 60mph in a 30mph zone.

Daniel Sullivan, aged 39, of Bolter End Lane in Wheeler End, was recorded travelling at 64mph in Seymour Court Road, Marlow, on July 24 last year - more than double the speed limit.

At a hearing at Wycombe Magistrates' Court on May 3, Sullivan pleaded guilty to a charge of speeding. He had originally denied the charge but changed his plea during proceedings.

The 39-year-old was fined £908 for the offence and ordered to pay a further £181 in court costs, leaving him with a total bill of £1,089.

The magistrates did not disqualify Sullivan from driving, but did endorse his licence with six penalty points. Drivers who accumulate 12 or more points in a three year period can face a lengthy driving ban.
