A couple of horror film fanatics from Amersham have tied the knot in a gothic-themed wedding - with groomsmen dressed like the Peaky Blinders.

Jodie and Matthew Moore wanted to implement their love of all things horror into their wedding after bonding over the shared interest when they first met on Tinder in 2015.

Jodie, 28, rocked a stunning black wedding dress as she walked down the aisle to Fall Out Boy's 'Heavens Gate' on October 26, 2021, pairing the gown with red heels that matched her fiery hair.

And groom Matthew, 25, and his groomsmen dressed in waistcoats and flat caps in a nod to the outfits worn by the boys from one of the couple's favourite TV shows, Peaky Blinders.

Guests sat amongst decorated skulls, floating candles, fake butterflies and dried flower petals, mostly made by the bride herself.

Each guest table was named after their favourite horror films - Alien, IT, Hannibal, American Psycho, Hellraiser and Carrie - with a pop vinyl on each to represent it alongside a skull.

Friends and family watched as the couple sliced into their red and black wedding cake with the unique choice of Chucky and the Bride of Chucky featured on top instead of the traditional bride and groom topper.

There was even a slasher movie scare when the couple shoved icing in each other's faces and Matthew got too close to the cake knife, nearly getting sliced but looking like a gory mess covered in the dark red icing.

Jodie, who is now pregnant with her first child with warehouse operative Matthew and their cat Frankie, said: "We have both always been into more gothic things, darker colours, more unusual and that style reflects in our home and the sort of home décor we buy.

"We had both always enjoyed watching horror films so it was something we definitely bonded on. Neither of us is afraid of the slasher and gory films and loves anything dark and creepy.

"Peaky Blinders is also a show we have both loved and we thought a nod to it in terms of groomsmen outfits would be a good alternative to the usual formal suit.

"We were both so happy with the centre pieces we had put together with a nod towards something we both love.

"The wedding was perfect including all the things we loved. Looking back, we know we made the right decision."
