A High Wycombe woman who was caught shoplifting men's trousers from TK Maxx has been ordered to pay compensation.

Zuzana Korenova, 41, of Hughenden Road, got caught stealing £72.97-worth of items from the clothing store in High Wycombe town centre.

A hearing at Wycombe Magistrates' Court on May 3 heard that Korenova stole two pairs of men's trousers and a pair of woman's shoes in the botched heist.

Korenova pleaded guilty to a charge of theft at the hearing, and was given one-year conditional discharge by the magistrates.

Although she managed to escape serious punishment, she was still ordered to pay back £72.97 in compensation to the store, as well as £40 in court costs.
