A man who caused hundreds of pounds of damage in a High Wycombe Sainsbury's has avoided going to prison.

Jedidiah Fornah, aged 27, of Laidler Crescent in Princes Risborough, caused £424-worth of damage to the supermarket's homeware display area on September 6, 2021.

On the same day, Fornah also stole cookies, an energy drink and a bottle of gin, valued at a total of £22, from the shop.

At a hearing at Wycombe Magistrates' Court on May 4, the court also heard how Fornah committed assault and racially aggravated assault in High Wycombe on the same day.

The defendant was also ordered to pay a further £85 in court costs.
