Whilst Wycombe Wanderers didn’t have much to celebrate on May 21 due to their League One play-off final defeat, it was a day to remember for one family in the town.

The third Saturday of May saw Emily Anderson and Darren Gibbons become one, with there being several surprises on their very special day.

Graham Anderson, who is the father of the bride and is a lifelong Chairboys fan, dressed up his 1974 Hillman Imp with light and dark blue ribbons for the occasion, with the classic car making its way over to Adams Park on the day of the wedding.

However, the wedding meant the Wanderers supporter missed the club’s Wembley showdown against Sunderland in North London, which they would go on to lose 2-0.

Speaking to the Bucks Free Press, Mr Anderson revealed that he was given a signed football from the team, and had a ‘personal video message from Gareth Ainsworth played during the Groom's speech’.
