UPDATE: Huge industrial unit fire involved 100 TONNES of metal
A large fire has broken out at an Aylesbury industrial site this afternoon.
Eyewitnesses say the fire is at ASM Metal Recycling Ltd on Griffin Lane, although this has not been confirmed by the emergency services.
A video taken at the scene by Bradlee Goddard shows flames and thick clouds of smoke billowing across the site, with Bucks Fire and Rescue and Thames Valley Police on site.
Police say the blaze is contained within an industrial unit, but smoke is blowing towards Fairford Leys.
They said: "The incident commander wants us to assure you there is no risk regarding the smoke but the general advice would be to keep windows and doors closed until the incident is resolved."
Aylesbury Fire Statio crews added: "Crews are currently in attendance at a large fire in Gatehouse Way, Aylesbury. We are advising local residents to keep their doors and windows closed while the crews deal with the incident."
