It will be held on Saturday, June 18 between 12 noon and 6pm with entry free of charge.

Guests are asked to bring chairs and picnic rugs but gazebos will be available if it rains.

A spokesperson said: "It’s an event that we are organising to welcome all of our new Ukrainian guests that have settled in our town to allow them to meet other Ukrainian families and to learn more about how we can help them to make the town their home and for them to feel safe and welcome.

"We have a lot of activities planned and are expecting around 250 guests on the day with at least 50 per cent of those being Ukrainian.

"Many of the guests coming, we have managed to secure jobs locally too and their employers will be joining us too."
