Fly-tipping inspectors have slammed the "extreme disregard for the environment" after waste from cannabis growing was dumped in a stream.

Dozens of black bags were tossed into the water at Well Lane in Wing, part of the Ascott National Trust site, seemingly from a road bridge.

Bucks Council's fly-tipping team said it would be a "real clean-up headache" for them - with inspectors managing to haul some bags filled with cement and paint out by hand.

However, some of them had become water-logged and were too heavy for them to get out of the water and up onto the bank.

Inspectors slammed it as the "lowest life fly-tip we've seen in some time", adding: "Waste from cannabis growing. Pure criminality with extreme disregard for environment."

The fly-tip was reported to inspectors on Sunday afternoon, with one disgusted local saying it was not there the previous day when they had passed by.
