Sportspeople from Malaysia representing the country and this year’s Commonwealth Games will travel to Gerrards Cross in the middle of July.

The athletes, who will partake in badminton, basketball, squash, table tennis, diving, rugby sevens and weightlifting at the championships in Birmingham, will visit the Maltmans Lane venue on Friday, July 15 with the day being open for visitors.

Those who attend will see some of the world’s best lawn bowlers get put through their paces.

They will be playing a team drawn from the Gerrards Cross club who will be out to see how they compare against these top international players.

Club President David Hall said: “It will be a wonderful day and we are really looking forward to this unique occasion.

“It will be an event that will be remembered for many years and unique in all of my time at Gerrards Cross.”
