Officers made several arrests in High Wycombe after being called to a number of knife incidents. 

Numerous reports of domestic and public incidents involving knives were made to the police yesterday (June 29) in the town.

There were no injuries were reported as Thames Valley Police (TVP) has urged residents not to carry knives.

A TVP spokesperson said: "ICR Team 5 Officers have responded to numerous separate reports involving knives today both in domestic and public incidents.

"Thankfully the incidents were quickly and safely resolved and several arrests made!

"Officers urge the public not to carry knives for any reason and know that we will take positive action and prosecute those who choose to ignore our advice!"
