Firefighters cut a man free following a crash in Chesham involving two cars and a lorry.

Police, paramedics and fire crews were called to Ashley Green Road at around 3.30pm on Wednesday (June 29).

The man was passed into the care of South Central Ambulance Service whilst the road was closed to traffic.

A Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue (BFAR) spokesperson said: "One appliance and crew from Amersham and one from Hertfordshire attended, along with an officer.

"Two women, and one man were out of their vehicles, uninjured, before they arrived.

"The firefighters used hydraulic rescue equipment to release one man, injured, who was passed into the care of South Central Ambulance Service.

"Thames Valley Police also attended the incident."

Fire crews were called out to the scene again an hour later after smoke was issuing from the engine compartment of a car.

A BFAR spokesperson said: "It was being moved off the road when the fire broke out.

"The firefighters used one hose reel and a thermal imaging camera."
