Police have launched an investigation into an arson attack in High Wycombe.

Two vehicles were destroyed whilst a third was badly damaged in a fire at around 1.14am yesterday (July 4) in Tadros Court.

Police say the two offenders were seen looking around parked vehicles before using an accelerant to set one alight.

Both have been described as wearing grey tracksuit jumpers with hoods up.

Investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Peter Cave, based at High Wycombe police station, said: “I would like to appeal to anybody who may have camera footage in the area or any information regarding this incident, to please get in touch.

“Alternatively, for 100% anonymity, you can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

“We believe that this is an isolated incident and there should be no wider community concern.”

A Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Two appliances and crews from High Wycombe attended.

"Three vehicles, located between two buildings, were on fire when they arrived.

"The firefighters used: one set of breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, a short extension ladder and thermal imaging camera.

"Two of the vehicles were 100 per cent damaged by fire, and the third was 50 per cent damaged by fire.

"External fixtures and windows of a two-storey block of flats were also affected."
