Three different field fires were attended to by Bucks Fire and Rescue crews since Friday amid scorching hot temperatures. 

The first blaze happened on Saturday, July 9, when a 22-acre field of standing crops caught light at around 5.45pm in Coates Lane in Downley. 

Around 600 square metres of crops were destroyed by the fire, which was attended by crews fro Amersham, Windsor Tinkers Lane, Gerrards Cross and three from Windsor. 

Meanwhile, another field, along with nearby hedgerows, was seen on fire on Sunday, July 10, in Pink Road in Lacey Green. 

Panicked 999 calls were made at 1.36pm, with crews from Aylesbury, High Wycombe, Thame, Beaconsfield and Maidenhead attending and establishing a water shuttle. 

Two fields, covering an area of around 150 metres by 350 metres including hedgerows, were on fire.

On Monday morning, a field in Walton Lane in Burnham was on fire with two areas, both around 50 metres by 30 metres, affected. 

Firefighters from Slough, Gerrards Cross and Maidenhead used hose reels and beaters to put the flames out.
