One of the South of England’s biggest car dealerships raised £30,000 in the past 12 months for local communities and charities.
Eden Motor Group, which has branches in High Wycombe and Reading, recently presented a cheque for £18,400 to MacMillan Cancer Support which came through their ever-popular coffee mornings.
Eden colleagues were also heavily involved in a high-profile charity football match in aid of Sophie’s Journey, which raised £25k in support of children with cancer.
This is to help children with cancer after 10-year-old Sophie Robinson passed away from the illness aged just 10.
Members of the Eden team were part of the ‘Sophie’s All-Stars’ team, who fought to win the trophy again this year, challenging some Portsmouth Football Club legends such as Alan Knight, Svetoslav Todorov, and Linvoy Primus.
The group has also sponsored many local football teams within Eden’s local communities, such as Torbay Police FC Youth Team, and Okehampton Argyle Youth Under 9s.
Also joining the day was former Manchester United midfielder, Owen Hargreaves.
Graeme Potts, Eden’s CEO said: “We know how important it is to provide these teams with a kit that they can play proudly in each week.
“We are delighted to be able to support, and to have Eden on display on their shirts.
“Supporting local groups, causes, and charities is core to our values as a member of the community where our dealerships are based.
“We’re very proud of our colleagues and customers who go the extra mile to support this.”
