Ten people were told to leave High Wycombe town centre this week as part of ongoing efforts to crack down on antisocial behaviour.

Last week, after an attack in Frogmoor in the early hours of Tuesday morning, police ramped up patrols in a bid to cut down on ongoing bad behaviour in the town centre.

On July 12, 12 people were issued with a section 35 dispersal order, which means they cannot re-enter a specific area for up to 48 hours.

They patrolled the town centre problem areas, including Frogmoor, High Street and White Hart Street, alongside street wardens from Buckinghamshire Council and HWBIDCo.

Those successful actions were repeated on Wednesday, July 20, when neighbourhood police officers issued another 10 section 35 orders, and another person was arrested for breaching a previous order.

Another person was also reported for shoplifting and the goods were returned to where they were stolen from.

Wycombe police officers said: "Wycombe NHPT are out in the town centre today issuing section 35 dispersal orders.

"This is a robust way to deal with individuals likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress, or crime and disorder in the locality."
