A popular pub in Slough bagged a coveted win for the best flower display in a pub this year.

The Rose and Crown pub in Stoke Poges was crowned the winner of ‘Flower in Bloom' competition.

The competition, organised as part of the Horticultural Flower Show, was battled out between three villages – Stoke Poges, Fulmer and Wexham.

Sarah Burchill, licensee at The Rose and Crown, said: “I’m thrilled to win the most colourful pub in the Horticultural Flower show this year!

"I love my flowers and the brightness they bring to the village, so its an honour to win this award.

"The Rose and Crown is a real community village pub and especially over the past few years our community has really supported us, so I’d like to say thank you to everyone who has been a part of this.”
