Police have rushed to a Buckinghamshire park this evening following the discovery of unexploded ordnance.

Officers are on the scene at Bedgrove Park, in Aylesbury, dealing with an historic incendiary from the Second World War.

The Thames Valley Police officers are working alongside the Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit (EOD) at the scene.

Sections of the park have been closed off and passers by have been advised to avoid the area.

Thames Valley Police has advised that there is no risk to the public "providing you stay clear of the park."
