Police are on the hunt for two burglars after they attempted to crack the safe in a pair of Buckinghamshire pubs.

Thames Valley Police has released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to in connection with the incidents, which happened in Aylesbury.

The first offence took place at around 9.30pm on Saturday 16 July in the Cotton Wheel, Jackson Road.

The second incident occurred at around 11.45pm on Monday 18 July at the Dairy Maid, Dunsham Lane.

In both cases, the offenders attempted to break into the safe located inside each pub.

Police have appealed for anyone with information on the incidents to come forward and help with the investigation.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Annabel Wilmot, based at Aylesbury police station, said: “We would like to appeal to anybody who recognises the men in this image to please get in touch.

“We would also like to appeal to those within the area with CCTV or doorbell camera footage.
