A woman was hit over the head with a hammer and threatened with a screwdriver by a man who forced entry into her home.

The woman, aged in her fifties, required hospital treatment following the attack which left her with a one-inch cut.

She has since been discharged.

The man forced entry into the rear of the woman's garden, also using a hammer to smash glass at the home.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for the public’s help in tracing a man who is wanted in connection with the assault that took place in Bradwell, Milton Keynes.

Mariusz Klinkowski, aged 40, is wanted by officers who wish to speak to him about the attack, which occurred on July 19.

Klinkowski is described as a white man, around 5ft 11ins to 6ft 1ins tall with a medium build and green eyes.

He has black, shaven dropped hair and an unshaven beard and moustache.

He is known to frequent Greenleys, Wolverton and Bletchley.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Ryan Heap, based at Milton Keynes police station, said: “We are looking to question Klinkowski in connection with this alleged assault.

“This was a violent attack involving weapons, whereby the victim was attacked in her own home.

“If you see Klinkowski, do not approach him, but instead call 999, quoting reference number 43220319739.

“Alternatively, if you know of his whereabouts, please contact us on 101 or make a report via the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
