Homes in a Marlow village had their power switched off today Friday during morning rush hour.

The outage is part of planned works by Scottish and Southern Electricity SSE in the residential area between High Wycombe and Marlow.

Residents near Marlow Bottom in SL7 postcode area saw their power get switched off at 8.30am today as they faced an outage set to last until the afternoon.

Some homes along New Road off Marlow Bottom were included in the cut.

Power is expected to be restored by 4.30pm as the works are completed.

Other areas immediately nearby didn't appear to be affected by the outage.
