THE POWER maintenance works in a Buckinghamshire town saw residents’ electricity switched off this morning.

Homes in Princes Risborough had their power switched off at 9am as part of planned works to ensure reliable electricity supply, UK Power Networks said.

The planned outage affects the postcode area HP27 0 while engineers carry out works.

Power is due to be switched back on between 4pm and 5pm today August 10.

The works come while another heatwave is gripping Buckinghamshire, and the Met Office has warned temperatures climbing up to 36C on Saturday.
