Households in Aylesbury have been left without water and low water pressureafter a pipe burst yesterday.

Residents in the HP18 postcode in the Aylesbury Vale area and also parts of Oxfordshire have no access to water after a pipe burst in Duck Lane.

Specialist Thames Water engineers rushed to the area early in the morning to attempt to fix the pipe. Work to restore water to the area is continuing.

In a statement, Thames Water said: "Following a burst pipe that caused low pressure or no water in HP18, OX27 and OX33, we’ve made significant progress on repairing the pipe. We now expect most of our customers to be back in supply, but you may experience lower than normal pressure during periods of higher demand. These times are typically in the morning and during the early evening.

"We’re really sorry for any inconvenience this has caused, and thank you for your patience whilst our engineers were working hard to complete the repair work."

Buckinghamshire Council have also made residents aware of the latest situation.
