House prices increased by 1.1 per cent – more than the average for the South East – in Buckinghamshire in June, new figures show.
The rise contributes to the longer-term trend, which has seen property prices in the area grow by 9.1 per cent over the last year.
The average Buckinghamshire house price in June was £468,521, Land Registry figures show – a 1.1 per cent increase on May.
Over the month, the picture was similar to that across the South East, where prices increased 0.8 per cent, and Buckinghamshire was above the 1 per cent rise for the UK as a whole.
Over the last year, the average sale price of property in Buckinghamshire rose by £39,000 – putting the area 51st among the South East’s 64 local authorities with price data for annual growth.
First-time buyers in Buckinghamshire spent an average of £347,000 on their property – £27,000 more than a year ago, and £42,000 more than in June 2017.
By comparison, former owner-occupiers paid £558,000 on average in June – 60.9 per cent more than first-time buyers.
