A speeding driver who was caught at nearly 120mph on a dual carriageway has been allowed to keep his licence.

Bogomil Botev, 29, was caught travelling at 116mph on the A5 in Bletchley on October 8, 2021.

The driver, of Honduras Gardens in Bletchley, had blitzed the 70mph speed limit that was in place on the dual carriageway.

At a hearing at Wycombe Magistrates' Court on August 2, Botev was found guilty of a charge of speeding by a single justice procedure.

After hearing the evidence, the magistrate allowed Botev to keep his licence, endorsing it with six penalty points.

Drivers who accumulate 12 or more points over a three-year period face an automatic disqualification.

As well as the points, Botev was also fined £415 and ordered to pay £151 in costs.
