A WOMAN has been fined hundreds of pounds for speeding in a 30mph zone.

Jeanett Wren of Aylesbury Road, Wendover, was caught speeding on September 9 doing 54 miles per hour.

The 60-year-old was driving a Mercedes Benz on Penn Road in Hazlemere when she was caught speeding.

She appeared in Wycombe Magistrates' Court on July 14 and found guilty of Sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. 

She was fined £428, ordered to pay a  surcharge to fund victim services of £43 and pay costs of £110.

Wren was given six points on her driving licence.
