Marlow's mayor opened up doors to the town's newest charity shop to a queue of customers.
The Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity shop is located on 19 West Street with its fist day of business last Friday (August 19).
The doors opened the doors at 11am with customers, keen to see the range of fashionwear, homeware and entertainment promised by the charity.
Mayor Richard Scott said: "I was delighted to open the 10th retail store of the Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity in Marlow.
"After the opening, over 50 customers filled the store, most making purchases from a fabulous range of merchandise.
"The Aylesbury-based Hospice is dependent on income from its stores to provide a range of specialist palliative and end-of-life care services to people in Buckinghamshire and parts of Oxfordshire and south Bedfordshire who have life-limiting illnesses.
"I wish them all success at their new West Street store”.
Simon Barlow, shop manager at Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity Marlow said: “We have been made to feel so welcome by the people of Marlow and were thrilled to hear so many compliments on the shop and our products throughout the day.
"Along with those compliments we’ve also heard many stories from supporters about how the Hospice has helped people they know, and that is what we are here to raise funds for.”
"All of the shop’s profits will help the charity provide vital hospice care for patients and their families across Buckinghamshire and it’s borders.
"The charity provides care at the Hospice based at Stoke Mandeville Hospital and through a team of community nurses which cover ‘at home’ support across the region."
