A swimming pool at a combined school in High Wycombe is undergoing an ‘extensive refurbishment’ with the works expected to be completed by the start of September.

The facilities at Millbrook Combined School will see the pool get drained and stripped, with brand new tiles being put down to provide safe walkways for its users.

Its changing rooms have also been renovated while the whole building containing the pool has been redecorated.

It has been anticipated that the pool will be completed by the beginning of the new academic year of 2022/23, with the school hoping to hire out the facilities to the public by the start of January 2023.

A spokesperson from the school said: “As with all facilities at Millbrook Combined School, we see the pool as a community resource and we wish to ensure as many local children, residents, and clubs as possible are able to access it.”
