A NEW “high-end' Mediterranean restaurant opened over the bank holiday weekend in Marlow.
Lavvin welcomed guests at 40 West Street for the first time at a soft launch on Friday, August 26 before officially opening on Saturday, August 27.
The restaurant is mainly grilled-focused serving cold and hot appetisers, food from the josper, and food from the sea alongside 'main creations' and sides.
There is also a dessert menu and a detailed cocktail, wine and drinks menus.
The site also boasts an outside garden for diners.
A social media post from the restaurant said: "We’re excited to announce that Lavvin restaurant is now open for business.
"We opened with a soft launch yesterday (August 26) and the feedback from customers has already been exceptionally well-received."
Another post added: "Lavvin is the epitome of luxury and high-end Mediterranean dining.
"Our lush and spacious restaurant space is set to become the staple showcase spot for the people of Marlow to wine and dine in.
"Our interiors dark tones, exuberant décor and chic aesthetic encourages diners who visit to glam up, look sharp and expect a culinary evening of excellence.
"Lavvin is set to elevate one’s scenes, diners will be immersed within the restaurant's opulent interior design, where every consideration has been made and no expense spared.
"Lavvin bar and grill takes the restaurant experience in Marlow to new heights."
The restaurant is replacing a former Mediterranean restaurant Misya which unexpectedly closed last year, shortly after opening.
An unnamed source told the Bucks Free Press this was due to previous tenants “setting off the fire alarms five times in a few weeks and setting fire to the back of the building”.
However, notices on the restaurant read “we are currently closed due to gas and electric problems”.
Before that, it was home to the popular chain Bill's restaurant.
