An Amersham independent school welcomes a new headteacher for the start of the new academic year.
Nick Baker, who was educated locally at Chesham Prep School and Dr Challoner’s Grammar School, will take over as headmaster at The Beacon School.
Formerly headmaster at Wetherby Prep School, Nick has a wealth of educational experience spanning over twenty years across all ages and within both state and independent schools.
He said: “Single-sex schools are very special because they highlight what makes boys tick.
"What we do here, is really look after the boys, we have teachers for boys, not just teachers of boys”
A spokesperson for the school said: "Nick is an established leader in the education sector and will be a huge asset to The Beacon, continuing to guide our Beacon boys through their school life and onto their future schools, ensuring that all boys receive brilliant support during their Beacon journey and decision making for their next big adventure on departure from the school.
"Nick prides himself on building excellent relationships, and his natural charm and exceptional management is sure to help The Beacon community thrive."
