A new restaurant in Beaconsfield has opened at a former pub after the Grade II listed building undergoes a major refurbishment.

Browns Beaconsfield welcomed diners for the first time on August 25 following the revamp to the building once home to the Lord of the Manor on Aylesbury End.

The site, previously The White Hart, was built around 1600 and has served the town of Beaconsfield as a hotel and hosted a cycling club, a lawn tennis club and a shooting club.

The restaurant's new interior takes inspiration from the 1920s, with art deco styling, luxurious furnishings, and a new bar.

Rachael Hardman, general manager at Browns Beaconsfield, said: “Bringing a new Browns to the tranquil and historic setting of Beaconsfield Old Town is a fantastic opportunity for the brand and local area.

“Both myself and the whole team can’t wait to open the doors and welcome guests to experience the new Browns for themselves, we hope they love the transformation.”

The restaurant offers a seasonal British menu, an extensive cocktail list, and a selection of wine and champagne.

Open all day from breakfast through to dinner, the restaurant boasts a covered outdoor terrace and private dining room for up to 16 guests.

Diners can choose from fresh market fish delivered daily, fresh lobster, sharing chateaubriand and fillet steak from Thursday to Saturday, and traditional roasts on Sundays.

In addition, guests can have traditional afternoon tea and a champagne bottomless brunch.

There are vegetarian and vegan options as well as a gluten-free menu that’s accredited by Coeliac UK.

Browns will also be hosting weekly live piano performances every Thursday and Saturday evenings, and Sunday lunchtimes.

There are around 25 other Browns restaurants around the country, including in Bristol, Brighton, Cambridge, Oxford, Reading and Windsor.
